Sorry, this picture, which would have been the best, is slightly warped. The camera on my phone is very motion sensitive.

Hugh smelling some flowers he had uprooted. This is the face he makes when he sniffs flowers.

Farmer's market

In Provo we always got seconds of peaches and apples (these were small ones, or the ones birds had taken a bite out of) for a cheap price. We eventually found that the place to get that here was at farmer's markets. So today we went to the Rockville farmer's market to get peaches. So we got half a bushel of peaches relatively cheap (I don't really know what a bushel is but half a bushel is quite a lot of peaches). We also got 3 squashes for a dollar, some cheap blueberries, some tomatoes, and Portuguese sweet bread (kind of like brioche, or stuff like that).

Miscellaneous

We saw this at a store. The caption reads: "Cats always seem to know exactly how we feel... They don't give a crap... But they know."

BS manager? So, what exactly do they manage?

Someone in our ward makes amazing kettle corn popcorn. We made some and this is what it looks like. It is the most amazing popcorn ever.

Cat Dom, as in a kingdom of cats, or a where the cats are kings? We thought it looked funny and that all the cat-lovers in both the Sears and Clark families could appreciate it.

More storm pictures

If you click on this picture you can see that it is a power line downed by a tree. On one of the major streets here, Connecticut Avenue, there were two very big power lines downed by trees as well.

Another view of the crushed car we saw

Local scenery

A few months ago we were at a park a couple miles from home and saw these thunder clouds coming

Some more scenery on campus. The plants are on a kind of island about 10 or 15 feet in diameter, in front of the SIS building and the library
Some very blue hydrangeas
